In 2013, Seb Ackerstaff and Jessie Verdonschot embarked on a journey to revolutionise the luxury bathroom industry. Their vision was to establish a brand distinguished by timeless, high-quality products that exemplify understated luxury for the discerning customer.
Driven by their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to fostering a holistic lifestyle, Seb and Jessie aimed to create a brand that delivers exceptional products while promoting a sense of well-being. From the outset, they envisioned COCOON as a beacon of refined sophistication and transformative elegance.
Meet the designers
COCOON’s team is a family. One big, diverse, and multidisciplinary team. It all starts with our architects and designers, but the collection could only be so successful with all the people in our team giving 100% commitment like our super skilled production employees, product engineers, project managers, sales-reps, exclusive showroom partners, photographers, the after sales service team and all other individuals helping us to be that brand to be proud of. Making good products and the world a little better, simply satisfies us and keeps us going.
John Pawson
John Pawson CBE is renowned for his rigorously simple architecture covering various scales and typologies. He approaches all design projects with a focus on engaging with space through attention to detail. For him, even everyday objects, such as a tap, reflect ideas about lifestyle and values.

Tim Derhaag
Tim Derhaag is a Dutch designer based in Maastricht who has earned a reputation through his long-standing collaboration with Italian lighting firm Flos. He is responsible for creating COCOON's first house collection, MAISON, which emphasises essentiality and universality in its design.
Piet boon
Studio Piet Boon is a well-known Dutch design firm that specialises in contemporary architecture, interiors, and custom products for the luxury market. Piet Boon is the designer behind COCOON's eponymous collection, which includes tapware, showers, baths, basins, and bathroom furnishings.
