A Caribbean Retreat

A Caribbean Retreat

Deep in the Caribbean, where the forest grows right up to the glass, the bathroom is shaped around the view. Tall windows open onto palms, a skylight which lets the day fall straight onto the stone.

Inside, the palette stays close to the land. Grey stone walls and the lush emerald carry the green of the garden indoors, so the room sits naturally within its setting.

A Considered Pairing of Collections

The tapware throughout comes from the John Pawson by COCOON collection, known for its measured proportions. Alongside it, the bath and basins from COCOON Collection brings softness and color. Brushed Inox ties the pieces together, giving each other the same soft, low sheen.

The Bath, Set Among the Palms

The COCOON COVE bath sits freely on the stone floor, its rounded form and Emerald finish drawing the eye. Place between the glass and stone, it becomes a point of rest in the room, with the garden close enough to feel part of the bath.

In the morning the first light from the skylight and by the evening it settles into the shadows of the surroundings.

Thermostatic Control, Kept Simple

A floor standing spout curved over the rim of the bath, while the thermostatic controls and hand shower sit neatly against the wall. In brushed Inox, the set is slim and understated.

Basins in Quiet Balance

A pair of COCOON BOWL OVAL basins rests on a long vanity, set beneath a wide window that frames the canopy. Their soft oval shape and the Emerald tone links it back to the bath, so the whole room feels connected.

A Mixer Drawn in a Single Line

Each basin is paired with a deck-mounted mixer with slender spout which arcs gently over the bowl. The Brushed Inox finish sits comfortably beside the wood and stone, adding clarity.

A Sculptural Basin

The COCOON COLUMN brings the same sense of calm to the room in a more sculptural form. Standing directly on the floor, its circular silhouette rises as one continuous volume, giving the basin a quiet presence.
Finished in Emerald, the hand-finished concrete carries the colour of the surrounding landscape into the room.

Rain Twice Over

The shower is lined in a deep teal tile, carrying the green tones of the room into a more enclosed space. Two ceiling-mounted rain heads fall side by side, turning the shower into a space that can be enjoyed at leisure, with controls kept low and minimal on the wall.

Framed by Green

Glass that Opens onto the Forest

Full-height glazing and black frames let the forest press close to every side. From the deck, the bathroom reads as a sheltered room within the garden, open to light while still feeling private. Planting surrounds the space on all sides, softening every edge of the architecture.

Light from Above

A Skylight Over Stone

An opening in the roof brings soft daylight into the centre of the space, shifting across the stone walls as the hours pass. Timber slats overhead filter the sun, adding a gentle pattern of light and shade. On clearer days, the sky itself becomes part of the room.

Wood, Stone and Emerald Together

The vanity brings warmth to the grey stone, while the emerald basins sit neatly between the two. Woven baskets and natural textures keep the atmosphere relaxed and lived in. Each material has its own character, and together they form one calm, connected palette.
