Spa Inspired Zen Apartment Bathroom Inspiration

Spa Inspired Zen Apartment Bathroom

How does a 20-year-old apartment become a place of calm and renewal? This renovation reimagines the bathroom as a spa-like sanctuary. The original layout has been reshaped to create a sense of openness, light, and quiet balance high above the city.

A restrained palette of white, oak wood, and flowing grey marble defines the space. Natural light transforms this home spa into a sanctuary of tranquility and calm.

Where Designer-Led Elements Meet Purpose

Studio: 817designspace - Architect: Lim Kyu Beom - Photography: soulgraph photography

Guided by a careful restructuring of the existing apartment, 817designspace and architect Lim Kyu Beom reimagined the bathroom through light, proportion, and material restraint. White surfaces, oak wood, and flowing grey marble create a calm and balanced interior, shaped for everyday comfort.

The John Pawson by COCOON collection finds its natural home. The tapware reflects Pawson's pursuit of simplicity and proportion. Clean lines, clarity of function, and quiet refinement.

A Zen Bathroom Defined by Calm

Underpinned by John Pawson's tapware and his pursuit of simplicity and function, the space feels free, allowing natural light to do the rest.

Looking Out Over The City From The Bath

Brushed Inox tapware from the John Pawson by COCOON collection accentuate the tranquil marble tones within the space. Here less is more, as the floor to ceiling windows offer unparalleled views across the city whilst bathing.

Minimalistic design meets purpose

The Bath as a Quiet Centre

The freestanding bath is defined by soft curves and the flowing grain of grey marble around it. Floor-mounted tapware and a wall-mounted handshower from the John Pawson collection are reduced to essential forms, supporting the ritual of bathing with clarity and restraint.

Tactile restraint

Precision is in the Details

The handshower and two-way diverter show the discipline behind John Pawson's design. Reduced to essential geometry, the Brushed Inox finish sits quietly against the flowing marble. Form, function, intuitive use- nothing more, nothing less.

Quiet reflection

The Vanity in Close View

Unique, and in parts, fluted, grey marble flows throughout the entire space echoed by Brushed Inox tapware from the John Pawson by COCOON collection.

Measured simplicity

The Wall-Mounted Basin Fixture

Brushed Inox tapware from the John Pawson collection made using AISI 316L stainless steel sits effortlessly alongside the natural movement of the grey marble. Carefully considered simplicity.

Defined privacy

A Quiet Separation

Glass doors feature throughout the bathroom, opening up the space and allowing natural light to flow.
